The Importance of HVAC Maintenance

hvac maintenance

We all know the importance of regular maintenance for our cars; you wouldn't go for more than a year without getting an oil change. Similarly, you shouldn't ignore the maintenance needed for your heating and air conditioning equipment!

What Does HVAC Maintenance Consist Of?

Your HVAC equipment needs a checkup every so often. Usually, we recommend a spring tune-up for your air conditioning unit and a fall tune-up for your heating equipment. This tune-up consists of:

Checking the Cooling Equipment For:

  • Thermostat operations
  • Condenser drain
  • Indoor blower motor
  • Condition of the filter
  • Condenser coil
  • AMP draw compressor
  • Refrigerant levels
  • Pressure and super heat
  • Electrical wiring

Checking the Heating Equipment For:

  • Thermostat operation
  • Burners and compartment
  • Flame sensor
  • Flue pipe inspection
  • Safety controls
  • Ignition and flame
  • Indoor blower motor (oil if necessary)
  • Combustion motor fan

Fall is a great time to get your heating unit checked for optimum usage; otherwise, you may find yourself without heat once winter hits.

Save Money on your HVAC Equipment

Not only does regular HVAC maintenance ensure you will not be without heat or air, but it can also help you save money in the long run. By keeping up with your HVAC maintenance, you are preventing any big breakdowns that could cost a lot of money to repair and even more to replace!

Were excited to announce Viccarone Heating Air Conditioning has been recognized by NCIs High-Performance HVAC Today! Gino Viccarone is a lifer. From the time of his graduation from the West Side Institute vocational school in Cleveland, OH, to where he is today, he has only worked in the HVAC Industry. His first job was with a local HVAC contracting company where he worked for slightly more than eight years as a service technician. The hours were long, the work could be grueling, especially during the hot, muggy Cleveland summers. Eventually, he was given the opportunity to do some installation work and he fell in love. In 1994, he decided to start his own company, and Viccarone Heating and Air Conditioning was born. He operated the business from his home. My father was retiring from his job at the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper and he decided to volunteer four years of his time riding along with me in the truck. He refused to let me pay him. He often would buy me lunch, especially
