What is Aeroseal®?

Aeroseal® is a duct sealing technology that improves the efficiency of heating and cooling equipment. It’s made up of polymers, long molecules that bind together, and seals up leaks, holes or misalignments in your ductwork. It uses synthetic nanoparticles, which are tiny particles that are specially manufactured to fit together and create a way to block air from escaping, to make your ducts as airtight as possible.

How does it work?

Sealing ductwork used to be a huge hassle – messy mastic paste and tape that never seem to really do the job right.

Many homes that were built more than 10-15 years ago were installed without best practices of duct seal technology - that's why Viccarone HVAC invested in  Aeroseal®  technology. These homes are left vulnerable to heating and cooling inefficiency and dust build-up. Aeroseal helps prevent both of these things by blocking any pathways for air to escape from ducts, eliminating static pressure and improving the life cycle of your equipment.

What are the benefits?

Ultimately, more efficient heating and cooling mean that you save money on your electric bills, whether it’s a residential or a commercial building. You also can anticipate a reduction in the dust in your home, which means better overall air quality and healthier breathing for you and everyone else in your building. Best of all, installing Aeroseal® is hassle-free, and allows you to have peace of mind for years to come.

With Aeroseal, you can enjoy all the benefits of duct sealing without the mess:

  • Increase Your Comfort
  • Lower Energy Consumption
  • Improve Air Quality
  • Pre & Post Leakage Measurements

Sealing your duct work is the best home improvement you can make from an energy standpoint.

Aeroseal can reduce duct leakage by up to 90%, reduce your energy use by up to 30% and has also been shown to dramatically improve comfort and homeowner satisfaction with their heating and cooling systems.

How can I get it?

When using Aeroseal® in your home, the process begins with the arrival of a control trailer, which holds the technicians and the supplies they need to install Aeroseal®. A technician will attach input duct supply through the main control center, and then block off the registers and air supply vents in order to create a closed system. From there, the system will analyze your vents to determine if there are any leaks and, if so, where they are coming from. Then, once the exact location of the issue is determined, the Aeroseal® is applied to block off the leak.

  • How long for Aeroseal to dry?
    • Fast drying liquid and less than 2 hrs.

  • Does Aeroseal totally coat my ductwork or pipes?
    • The patented technology only finds visible and invisible leaks and solidifies and polymer to seal where necessary.
  • Do I need to move furniture and personal items prior to the work?
    • Yes, it is critical that technicians can access all air registers and return grilles.

We cannot be liable for moving or damaging furniture, dining sets, cabinets, dressers and alike if registers are blocked by items. Please list other items of concern, questions or issues and they will be addressed prior to work performed.

If you’re experiencing rather high utility bills and want to investigate the HVAC system performance, then Viccarone HVAC can evaluate if Aeroseal® is the right fit for your residential or commercial property.
